Mark Thomas BSc, MCIAT Co-owner

Mark studied engineering at the University of Bath and opened Thomas Custom Architectural Services in 2012. Mark’s career started as an apprentice working for a large engineering company and since graduation worked in the design office.

During the early years of Thomas Custom Architectural Services, Mark worked with residential clients covering new builds, extensions, and outbuildings.

Mark adds value by proposing many ideas at the start of a project. Sometimes a fresh pair of eyes on a property can yield some interesting options which clients may not have thought of.

Building regulations and structural engineering is also a large part of Mark’s responsibility.

Mark will be focussing on North Devon and developing the business in Dorset and Hampshire. Specifically Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, and the New Forest.

Andrew ThomasCo-owner

Born in Hampshire. Andrew joined the Business in June 2019. Prior to Thomas Custom Andrew spent the last decade working on high-end residential housing, blue-chip commercial project, and hospitals. Andrew has worked with BP, MFG, Subway, Starbucks, Costa, NHS, Tim Hortons, and many more. Andrew’s previous roles were based in Surrey, Home Counties where he was a senior architectural designer, as well as an architectural project manager.

Andrew is responsible for the full architectural process from generating ideas with the client, planning drawings, submitting planning applications, as well as building regulations drawing sets with on-site management.

Andrew’s qualifications are mostly construction and architecturally focused and graduated from both East Surrey and the University of Plymouth.

Andrew’s focus in the company is growing, with an emphasis on growing clients in North Devon, Ascot, and Bath.
